It's 2021, guys, and while experiences may vary for many during the disaster year that was 2020, the age-old adage new year new me still holds up. You are likely in the process of trying to implement some New Years' resolutions. Meaning you probably fall into two categories; either you are struggling to build a habit like exercising or learning something new or have already created that routine, and your desperately treading water to keep that habit going.

Either way, you can benefit from having mentorship during this challenging process and look no further than some of the shortcasts available on Trebble I have personally used to help me stay resilient while building new habits. Hopefully, you can find a new show that will spark your motivation to show up for yourself each morning to be the best you can be.

Headspace Radio

There are very few other people whose voice could be labelled as soothing as Andy Puddicombes is. Andy, a former monk and co-founder of Headspace, the Meditation app, has made a splash by sharing his teachings to the mass market through the Headspace Meditation app. Radio Headspace gives you an impressive tasting platter of what sort of teachings you can expect from headspace meditation. During each episode, Andy shares an intriguing story and ties it into important principles each of us should live by. Although the experiences aren't meditations, I find the storytelling of them refreshing, and the advice he provides helps me get my mindset ready for each workday. They can get redundant somedays, and the advice he gives isn't necessarily the most nuanced, but I find it useful to have a helpful reminder each morning of his teachings. Overall, I would recommend this shortcast to people looking to build new habits, be more positive, struggle with mental health issues, or go through relationship issues. Do your mental health a favour and try out an episode of Radio Headspace and see if it's your cup of tea.

Daily Quote by Parcast

This shortcast is perfect for the morning or for a mid-day pick me up. Daily Quote episodes last about only 2-3 minutes each. The daily quote takes the time to break down a wonderful or inspiring quote from history. Making it the perfect way to spice up your day when you might be tired of the monotony of daily life. I have personally enjoyed that The Daily Quote helps me stay positive when the news and what is happening in the world are saturated with negativity. I think this is something more people need to help us stay active and resilient during the tough times in our days, and by listening to this shortcast each morning, you can expect exactly that. Overall I think you cant expect a ton of depth from this shortcast. Still, if you need inspiration in your daily life or maybe work-life, getting inspiration from these quotes could be the perfect prompt to spark the creativity you need for whichever project you are working on.

The Daily Mastery with Robin Sharma

Robin Sharma is a Canadian writer who worked as a litigation lawyer until he was 25, when he self-published his first book, MegaLiving. Mega living was a new look at the importance of managing stress and spirituality, aiming to guide those stuck in the same boring lifestyle Robin had experienced years before. Ever since Robin has written many books for aspiring leaders and founded his own leadership training company. Needless to say, Robin knows his way around life, and in this shortcast, he hopes to share his advice with listeners who need guidance in their professional life too. This shortcast gives you value that other more spirituality based shows don't have, very tangible, straightforward advice to deal with everyday life rigours. What you can expect to gain from listening to this show are valuable and actionable strategies that can immediately impact your life when applied correctly. Combined with his remarkable ability to share stories and confident personality makes Robin, the perfect mentor that only demands a few minutes of your time each day.

Overall I think Daily Mastery with Robin Sharma is perfect for entrepreneurs, small business owners, or professionals who are either job searching or looking for that next promotion. Robin Sharma will help you get the right mindset you need to take each day head-on.
